Once the hearing has concluded, the arbitration award will be clearly explained and issued in a timely manner.

Mediation of a labor dispute is simply the extension of the negotiating process. The parties are still motivated to reach a settlement. Wayne's job as mediator is to help the parties maintain control of the process and guide them towards a voluntary resolution of their dispute.

Some jurisdictions require fact-finding in certain situations where the parties are unable to resolve their labor dispute. While the fact-finding process is formal, the report issued by a fact-finder is usually not final or binding. Instead, the report provides recommendations.
